Cedevita Olimpija announced the signing of former Real Madrid, Joventut and Valencia player Klemen Prepelic, on a deal for at least until the end of the year.
Prepelic returns to Ljubljana, where he played twice for Union Olimpija, and will try to help Simone Pianigiani’s team in BKT EuroCup and ABA League.
“I am certainly very happy that I will have the opportunity to play in Ljubljana again after a long time. It has been 45 days since I last stepped on the floor for a match, so I am eager for games, proving myself and new challenges. I want us to step together on a new positive path that would bring us as many victories as possible,” the 31-year-old Slovenian said upon signing the contract with Cedevita Olimpija.
In the Euroleague, Prepelic spent four seasons and played 90 matches, while in the EuroCup he played six seasons and appeared in 82 matches. He averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds per game in EuroLeague and 11.1 points, 2.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds per faceoff in EuroCup.
Last season, his third in Valencia, Prepelic averaged 6,6 points and 2,9 assists in the ACB League and 7,1 points and 3,3 assists in the EuroLeague.
