Joining Joventut Badalona in the summer of 2023, Chinanu Onuaku hasn’t delivered in the BKT EuroCup, averaging only 7.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game with 30.4% from two-point range and 71.4% at the charity stripe. Today, the Spanish team announced they’re parting ways with the 27-year-old American center.
It’s the second straight season that he’s not ending the season with the teams he joined previously in the summer. In fact, joining Dinamo Sassari in last year’s LBA and Basketball Champions League, he then moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the 2022-23 EuroCup, being named Round 13 MVP.
Starting his professional career after playing in college with Louisville Cardinals from 2014 to 2016, Chinanu Onuaku played for the Houston Rockets in the NBA and the Greensboro Swarn in the G-League before moving overseas.
