Barry Brown scored 21 points and Rayjon Tucker had 19 points and six rebounds as Reyer Venezia beat Cedevita 95 – 87 thanks to a tremendous fourth-quarter performance (33-18) to bounce back to EuroCup wins and improve to 2-4.
Cedevita, on the other hand, remains winless. Jaka Blazic posted 16 points and seven rebounds while Amadou Sow scored 16 as well for the Slovenian side that was up 70 – 81 with six minutes to play but fell apart in front of a massive Venezia counterattack.
Venezia scored nine unanswered points to approach 79 – 81 and then delivered a 10 – 1 run to go up 92 – 85 with 34 seconds remaining. Brown and Tucker hit key buckets during that stretch with the latter dropping seven points over the last 1:24.
Earlier, Deividas Syrvidis delivered 27 points, including the win-sealing free throws, and seven assists to lead Lietkabelis to a 100 – 94 victory over JL Bourg en Bresse.
