Starting the BKT EuroCup Regular Season winless (0-8), Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana is trying to shake things up to bounce back in Europe and within the ABA League. After bringing Klemen Prepelic back to Slovenia, according to Eurohoops sources, Rasid Mahalbasic is set to join the team.
With San Pablo Burgos in LEB Oro since 2022, the 32-year-old center will come back to the EuroCup, where he already played for CEZ Nymburk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Oldenburg, where he was named 2019-20 EuroCup Top 16 Round 1 MVP. He also spent time in the EuroLeague by wearing the jersey of Asseco Prokom Gdynia in 2012-13.
Born in Slovenia in 1990, the center represents Austria, with whom he averaged 21.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in his last two international appearances with the national team for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers.
Rasid Mahalbasic is set to sign with Cedevita and compete with them in the #BKTEuroCup and also in the #ABALeague
