Hapoel Tel Aviv announced that the club signed former All-EuroCup guard and champion Will Cummings for the rest of the 2023-24 season.
Cummings returns to Europe after beginning the season in the Australian NBL League with the South East Melbourne Phoenix . The 31-year-old player averaged averaged 14.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists over 12 appearances before he was released by the club earlier in December.
During his European run, Cummings has played for such clubs as Darussafaka, Lokomotiv Kuban, Metropolitans 92, Oldenburg and Aris Thessaloniki. He won the 2018 EuroCup with Dacka and then moved to Oldenburg in Germany, finishing the season as the BBL MVP.
In 2022, Cummings won French League MVP and was named to the All-EuroCup First Team as a player of Metropolitans.
Hapoel is currently 8 – 2 and second in EuroCup’s Group A with one postponed game (vs. Wolves Vilnius) yet to play.
