BKT EuroCup GMs praised Paris Basketball in the mid-season survey

The French team was voted as the most fun-to-watch team in the BKT EuroCup with likely MVP TJ Shorts and Coach of the Year Tuomas Iisalo

With Round 14 of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season coming up, the European competition’s General Managers participated in the mid-season survey with a series of fan-centric questions about the league.

Paris Basketball, which currently stands 1st in the standings of Group A with a 12-1 record, was heavily praised by the General Managers, who voted the French team as the most fun-to-watch team with 55.0% of the votes. Tuomas Iisalo, instead, is considered the best coach of the whole EuroCup by 40.0% of the voters.

They were also named the most uncomfortable opponents at 25.0%, just like Gran Canaria and ahead of U-BT Cluj-Napoca (20.0%). Paris Basketball and Gran Canaria tied at 80.0% of the votes as the BKT EuroCup Finals teams, with a spot in next year’s EuroLeague on the line. U-BT Cluj-Napoca is the most surprising team of the season for 35.0% of the voters, ahead of the London Lions (25.0%) and JL Bourg-en-Bresse (20.0%).

TJ Shorts, who has been averaging 17.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game in the BKT EuroCup Regular Season, is the MVP of the season for 65.0% of the competition’s General Managers. He’s also the best passer for 50.0% of the GMs and the most spectacular player for 30.0% of the voters, ahead of Trevion Williams (25.0%).

These two were also voted with 20.0% of the preferences each as EuroCup players they would sign. Gediminas Orelik (30.0%) and Xavier Munford (25.0%) were voted as the best pure shooters of the competition, Karel Guzman as the best defender (20.0%), and Juan Nuñez as the rising star (50.0%).
