TJ Shorts scored 21 points and dished out a game-high nine assists as Paris Basketball defeated Joventut Badalona 86 – 70 to punch the last available ticket for the EuroCup semifinals. The French side, that will face the London Lions in the best-of-three semifinal series, grabbed its 18th win over 19 games in the EuroCup season.
Paris assumed control in the third quarter thanks to a 13 – 0 run over four minutes that gave them a 59 – 45 advantage near the end of the period. Joventut never managed to drop the margin below double figures in the rest of the game.
Nadir Hifi added 15 points while Mikael Jantunen had 12 for the winning side. Andrew Andrews paced Joventut with 25 points. Andres Feliz added 14 for the visitors, who were eliminated with the loss.
