Paris beats London to make it to the EuroCup finals

Paris basketball emerged during the season as the team to beat in the BKT EuroCup and proved it in the semifinals.

The French side beat the Lions in London (91-83) with TJ Shorts leading a balanced effort with 19 points, six assists, and five steals.

Matthew Morgan with 23 points tried his best for the home team, but it was not enough.

Paris qualified with 2-0 wins to the finals, waiting the winner of Game 3 between JL Bourg and Besiktas.

Getting distance in the last period

The hosts led by six at halftime (45-39) despite Paris having an early 19-12 advantage.

Matthew Morgan with 13 points in the first half set the tone for London, while Shorts also had 13 before halftime.


Paris stayed close and got the 58-56 lead after a three by Mehdy Ngouama, eventually entering the last period with a 66-64 advantage.

That was just the start of it. Paris opened the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run (73-64) and never looked back.
