Talking to TRT Spor, Besiktas Emlakjet Hasan Arat addressed important topics such as coach Dusan Alimpijevic’s contract, the situation regarding the merger with Bahcesehir Koleji, and the future of the basketball department.
He said that the additional money was transferred to the football section and that the merger would not yet happen.
“We have postponed the merger with Bahcesehir Koleji for now and allocated the additional funds, originally intended for EuroLeague aspirations, entirely to football,” Arat stated. “Vice President Huseyin Yucel is extremely determined about this. I am trying to dissuade him, but he remains resolute. We must deliver success in football, especially given the urgent situation.”
Arat confirmed that coach Alimpijevic will continue with the team.
“We have reached an agreement with Alimpijevic, and the contract will be signed. With the existing budget, we will maintain our EuroCup campaign.”
Besiktas Emlakjet, which finished third in the TBSL regular season, will face Manisa in the first round of the Playoffs. In the 2023/24 BKT EuroCup season, JL Bourg stopped them in the semifinals.
