Aris powers up with Chatzidakis, after re-signing leading star Toliopoulos

Penning a two-year contract, Manos Chatzidakis moved his talents to Aris Midea. From 11 appearances in the 2023-24 installment of the Basketball Champions League with AEK Betsson, his next destination will expand his career to the BKT EuroCup. At the international level, he represented Greece in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Opening the offseason, Aris retained Vassilis Toliopoulos for the 2024-25 season. Debuting in the EuroCup and establishing himself as the leading star of the Thessaloniki outfit, he averaged 14.4 points per contest over 17 appearances in the 2023-24 season.

After re-signing experienced forward Tyler Cavanaugh, Bahcesehir Koleji also retained Egehan Arna for another season on Wednesday. Following up on Thursday, the Red Dragons inked Tai Odiase for the 2024-25 season. Earlier reinforcements went from Goktug Bas to Furman Haltali and Marko Simonovic.

Promising prospect Ben Saraf inked a two-year contract, moving his talents from Israel to Germany and EuroCup participant ratiopharm Ulm. The 18-year-old guard will debut in the second-tier club continental competition of Euroleague Basketball.

In other recent moves, Buducnost VOLI announced a one-year contract extension for McKinley Wright IV, Umana Reyer Venice picked up Carl Wheatle, Veolia Towers Hamburg signed Kenneth Ogbe for the next season, and Dolomiti Energia Trento penned Myles Cale to a two-year contract.

Elsewhere, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem confirmed Yonatan Alon as the head coach and Dan Shamir as the general manager. Fellow Israeli club, Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv retained Stefanos Dedas as the head coach.
