Martinas Geben lands at Cedevita Olimpija, Rasheed Sulaimon switches to Buducnost

Cedevita Olimpija announced the addition of Martinas Geben on Friday. Adding to the list of newcomers early in the offseason, the 29-year-old Lithuanian center inked a two-year contract. A veteran of 53 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Zalgiris, Geben is set to debut in the BKT EuroCup and also in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

“I am very excited to join Cedevita Olimpia and for my family to start our new adventure in Ljubljana, Slovenia,” he mentioned, “It is a historic club with great tradition and I am looking forward to being a part of it.”

The Ljubljana outfit already picked up Brynton Lemar and Aleksej Nikolic, heading to the 2024-25 season. Besides three newcomers on the court, Zvezdan Mitrovic was hired as the new head coach. Also, D.J. Stewart Jr. signed a contract extension.

Sulaimon to Buducnost, Palatin to Hapoel Tel Aviv

Moving in from Wolves Twinsbet, Rasheed Sulaimon joined Buducnost VOLI. The 30-year-old forward has played in 26 EuroCup games, including eight with Wolves in the 2023-24 edition of Euroleague Basketball’s second tier. Djordije Jovanovic was an earlier addition. Also, Fletcher Magee, Yogi Ferrell, and McKinley Wright IV signed contract extensions.

Reuniting with his youth team, 23-year-old point guard Guy Palatin penned a three-year contract with Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv. Starting the offseason in style, the Israeli club secured the services of Joe Ragland and re-signed head coach Stefanos Dedas.

Elsewhere in the EuroCup field, Aris Midea reached an agreement with 24-year-old point guard David DeJulius. Earlier offseason moves went from extending the contract of Vassilis Toliopoulos and acquiring Manos Chatzidakis.
