Rebuilding Turk Telekom welcomed Vassilis Charalampopoulos and Berkan Durmaz, heading to the 2024-25 installment of the BKT EuroCup. The 27-year-old Greek forward is a veteran of six campaigns in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. Moving his talents to Ankara, he will play in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, resurfacing after two appearances with Umana Reyer Venice in 2021. The 27-year-old Turkish forward carries 44 appearances in the EuroCup, including 18 with Besiktas Emlakjet last season. Mahir Agva, Ismet Akpinar, Javon Bess, and Anthony Brown were earlier signings for the team coached by Erdem Can.
Bahcesehir Koleji re-signed 29-year-old French import, a member of the 2023-24 All-EuroCup First Team, Axel Bouteille, after retaining Egehan Arna, Tyler Cavanaugh, and Tony Taylor, and picking up Goktug Bas, Furman Haltali, Tai Odiase, and Marko Simonovic. Meanwhile, fellow Turkish club Besiktas signed Kelan Martin to a one-year contract, after landing Dustin Sleva.
Robertson moves to Badalona, Kuath to Hamburg
Canadian shooting guard Kassius Robertson penned a two-year contract to join Joventut Badalona. A newcomer to the EuroCup with the experience of 30 games played in the EuroLeague with Valencia last season. Other former teams in Europe are UnaHotels Reggio Emilia, Monbus Obradoiro, Fortitudo Pompea Bologna, and medi Bayreuth. He is the first offseason addition for the team guided by new head coach Dani Miret.
After emerging as the leading player for ICG Forca Lleida in earning promotion to Spain’s Liga Endesa, 25-year-old Kur Kuath signed a two-year contract with Veolia Towers Hamburg and will debut in the EuroCup. The South Sudan international joined Kenneth Ogbe, Osaro Rich, and Benedikt Turudic as summer signings for the German club.
