Galatasaray will have to go into battle in many upcoming games without one of its primary weapons. And that is because Errick McCollum, the team’s best, and top scorer (he averages 19 points in Eurocup and 17 points in the Turkish Championship), will be forced to miss 4 weeks of action due to a broken hand, according to Ntv Spor.
That means that he will not be able to help Galatasaray in the rest of the Last 32 stage of Eurocup. What is more, he will miss highly important games of the Turkish Basketball Super League, like the ones against Anadolu Efes and Gaziantep, on the road.
It remains to be seen if Galatasaray will make a move to sign a player in order to cover for McCollum’s absence. Remember, that we are talking about one of the most integral parts in the team’s machine and a key aspect of Ergin Ataman’s plans.
