It has been rumored for quite some time, but it was now made official by Valencia Basket.
The Spanish side announced a three-year agreement with Jean Montero, who has been coming over a great ACB League season with MoraBanc Andorra, averaging 15.7 points per game, being the second-best scorer of the Spanish competition.
He was also named Best Young Player of the Endesa League for the second straight season after grabbing the award first with Real Betis. The 2003-born guard was also included into the Second Best Five of the competition in the 2023-24 season.
He recently played in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus with the Dominican Republic, losing in the Semi-Finals against Croatia and averaging 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
At the same time, the Spanish side parted ways with Justin Anderson, who joined the team midway through the season after coming over to Europe with Rio Breogan at the beginning of the 2023-24 campaign.
