After Yago dos Santos, Cristiano Felicio, Bruno Caboclo, and Georginho De Paula, another Brazilian joined ratiopharm Ulm.

It’s the case of Marcio Santos, who will make his overseas and BKT EuroCup debut with the German side, continuing the tradition regarding the South American country’s basketball talents.

The 2002-born center recently took part in Brazil’s February window for the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers, averaging 8.0 points and 4.0 rebounds over two appearances.

Always playing professionally with Sesi Franca Basquete, he won the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in the final against Telekom Baskets Bonn. He also played in last year’s Basketball Champions League Americas, putting up 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.

His predecessors in the black-and-orange German side were part of Aleksandar Petrovic’s squad that overcame the odds to win the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 in Latvia, booking tickets to the Olympic Games in Paris. He didn’t make the team.
