Johnathan Motley, Ben Bentil, Joe Ragland, Ish Wainright, and now Patrick Beverley?
As reported by Greek journalist Thanos Tsibos, Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv is seriously interested in acquiring the 36-year-old NBA veteran and former Olympiacos player.
If we add to the equation that coach Stefanos Dedas is at the helm of the Tel Aviv club, and the fact that he worked with Beverley at Spartak St. Petersburg during the 2011-12 season, it makes even more sense that the 2012 EuroCup MVP could move his talents to Hapoel.
Beverley last played for the Milwaukee Bucks, recording 26 regular season performances in the 2023/24 season, and averaging six points with 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
The defensive specialist could therefore return to Europe after 12 years in the NBA, playing for the Houston Rockets, LA Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, LA Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and Philadelphia 76ers besides the Bucks, and amassing 666 regular season performances, averaging 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
He was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2017, and twice to the Second Team (2014, 2020).
Before the NBA, he donned the jerseys of Dnipro in Ukraine, and Olympiacos in Greece, before joining Dedas in Spartak St. Petersburg.
