Turk Telekom Ankara has officially signed Yoan Makoundou, who showcased his talent last year in the BKT EuroCup with Buducnost VOLI.
Standing at 2.07 meters and 23 years old, Makoundou posted averages of 11.0 points and 4.6 rebounds over 17 EuroCup games during his stint with Buducnost.
He played in Podgorica on loan from AS Monaco, the team that gave him a chance to debut in the EuroLeague during the 2022/23 season. As the French champions confirmed, he’ll be playing in Turkey also on loan.
Now, Makoundou aims to elevate his game even further under the guidance of head coach Erdem Can, as Turk Telekom sets its sights on making a strong push for the EuroLeague.
Before signing the 23-year-old French center, the Ankara team also signed Kyle Alexander, Olivier Hanlan, Kaan Tarla, Max Heidegger, Berkan Durmaz, Vasilis Charalampopoulos, Javon Bess, Mahir Agva, Ismet Akpinar, and Anthony Brown.
Joventut signs Devon Dotson
Joventut Badalona has reached an agreement with Devon Dotson for a two-season contract, keeping the American point guard in Badalona until June 30, 2026.
Dotson finished the 2023-24 season with Monbus Obradoiro, where he averaged 13 points per game in nine appearances in the ACB League.
He played college basketball at the University of Kansas for two years, averaging 12.3 points and 18.1 points per game. Dotson made his NBA debut in 2020 with the Chicago Bulls, appearing in 22 games while also playing for the Windy City Bulls in the G-League.
In 2022, Dotson joined the Washington Wizards and excelled with the Capital City Go-Go in the G-League, averaging 16.2 points and 6.2 assists per game.
