Mantas Rubstavicius returns to hometown Lietkabelis, on loan from Zalgiris

Zalgiris signed Mantas Rubstavicius to a long-term contract and subsequently loaned the 22-year-old guard to 7bet-Lietkabelis, as announced on Monday.

Returning to his hometown team for a third stint, Rubstavicius carries the experience of 18 appearances in the BKT EuroCup during his second spell through the 2022-23 season. Moving to Oceania’s NBL last season, he averaged 9.5 points per contest for the New Zealand Breakers. In other recent moves, 24-year-old Marko Pecarski and 22-year-old Dominykas Stenionis joined the Panevezys outfit, following Giorgos Kalaitzakis and Danielius Lavrinovicius in the list of summer signings. Dovis Bickauskis, Oleksandr Kovliar, Liutauras Lelevicius, Vytenis Lipkevicius, Gabrielius Maldunas, Dziugas Slavinskas, and Martynas Varnas are projected to remain on the roster.

Staying with Bahcesehir Koleji for a second consecutive season, 33-year-old Can Maxim Mutaf will add to his total of 26 EuroCup games. Egehan Arna, Goktug Bas, Axel Bouteille, Tyler Cavanaugh, Furkan Haltali, Sehmus Hazer, Omer Can Ilyasoglu, C. J. Massinburg, Tai Odiase, Mateusz Ponitka, Marko Simonovic, Jaleen Smith, and Tony Taylor already placed on the squad.

Completing the 2024-25 roster, Cedevita Olimpija penned 27-year-old Derek Ogbeide to a one-year contract. The remaining players for head coach Zvezdan Mitrovic are Jaka Blazic, Ziga Daneu, Martinas Geben, Gregor Glas, Lovro Gnjidic, Devante’ Jones, Brynton Lemar, Aleksej Nikolic, Bine Prepelic, Rok Radovic, Devin Robinson, and D.J. Stewart Jr.
