Aris Midea completed the signing of Trey Woodbury amid preparations for the 2024-25 edition of BKT EuroCup and domestic competitions in Greece.

Woodbury, 24, inked a one-year contract, the team announced on Friday.

Following the departure of Mike Miles Jr., shortly after the start of the training camp, the Thessaloniki outfit scanned the market for a new guard and acquired Woodbury. Lefteris Bochoridis, Manos Chatzidakis, David DeJulius, Giorgos Giouzelis, D’Moi Hodge, Nate Laszewski, Lefteris Mantzoukas, Landers Nolley II, Josh Roberts, and Vassilis Toliopoulos are the remaining players for head coach Giannis Kastritis.

Coming out of Utah Valley, Woodbury launched his professional career in Germany, playing for Bamberg Baskets during the 2023-24 season. He averaged 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per contest over 34 appearances in the easyCredit BBL.

Before transferring to Utah Valley, he spent his freshman year with UNLV. From his hometown Runnin’ Rebels to the Wolverines, he enjoyed more playing time and also became the third player to record a triple-double in UVU history, among more accomplishments. He left the school with 11.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

In his EuroCup debut, Woodbury will boost Aris in Group B of the Regular Season. At the top of a double-legged round-robin schedule with 18 fixtures and lasting until early February, his side visits Umana Reyer Venice on September 25. The top two teams will advance directly to the Quarterfinals with the next four seeds moving to the Eighthfinals.
