Bruno Caboclo landed in Tel Aviv on Sunday night. He practiced with his new Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv teammates following medical tests on Monday.

“I am excited to start with Hapoel and have a good and successful season,” he noted upon his arrival, “I am delighted with my choice. The timing was right for this decision.”

“I am here to win, so that is what I am going work on and my focus,” added the 26-year-old Brazilian forward/center, a veteran of 107 NBA games between the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors, of 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Partizan Mozzart Bet, and of 11 7DAYS EuroCup games with ratiopharm Ulm.

During the offseason, Caboclo looked for a second opportunity in the NBA, apart from helping Brazil advance to the 2024 Olympic Games with 17.8 points per contest in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, and adding 17.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game over four appearances in the Olympics between Lille and Paris. Instead, he signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv, strengthening the contender status in the BKT EuroCup and domestic competitions in Israel.

Last Monday, the Tel Aviv outfit added roster depth via the 20-year-old forward Avner Dror. Earlier, Ben Bentil, Patrick Beverley, Oz Blayzer, Marcus Foster, Johnathan Motley, Guy Palatin, Joe Ragland, Miron Ruina, Ish Wainright, and Noam Yaacov were signed for the team coached by Stefanos Dedas placing alongside returning Braian Angola, Tomer Ginat, Yonatan Rabinowitz, and Bar Timor.
