Before rolling into Round 2 of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season, Aris Midea announced the signing of 26-year-old swingman Rawle Alkins.

Looking for an additional roster boost, early in the 2024-25 campaign, the team based in Thessaloniki secured the services of Alkins on Tuesday. Heading to Round 2 of the EuroCup Regular Season, the Arizona product is expected to be in attendance for the home game opposite Turk Telekom, set to take place on Wednesday evening. In Round 1, Aris lost to Umana Reyer Venice in Palasport Taliercio and fell to 0-1 in Group B.

James Banks III, Lefteris Bochoridis, Manos Chatzidakis, David DeJulius, Giorgos Giouzelis, D’Moi Hodge, Nate Laszewski, Lefteris Mantzoukas, Landers Nolley II, Josh Roberts, Vassilis Toliopoulos, and Trey Woodbury were already in for head coach Giannis Kastritis.

Despite going undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft, Alkins managed to work his way into the NBA, logging ten appearances with the Chicago Bulls during the 2018-19 Regular Season. He also displayed his talents in the G League with the Windy City Bulls, Raptors 905, and Salt Lake City Stars.

Overseas experience sent him to Portugal, Germany, Israel, and Puerto Rico. In the 2021-22 campaign, he played in nine Basketball Champions League games with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.

The assignment with Aris corresponds to his debut in the EuroCup. He will also introduce himself in the top-flight division of Greece, Stoiximan GBL.

Barring a setback, he will be available for Kastritis against AEK Betsson in Nick Galis Hall on Saturday.
