Patrick Beverley began his newest overseas experience in an effective way, contributing to Hapoel Tel Aviv’s early successes in the BKT EuroCup season. That has comprehensively attracted attention from the higher stages too, as he revealed in his Pat Bev podcast.
“We’ve been having a couple of EuroLeague teams that reached out, obviously, because of what’s going on with the war. They want to know if I’m gonna stay, but I like it here. I feel good. I love my teammates. I love my coach. I love the owner. I love the Israeli culture”, he convincingly said.
“Do I regret my decision?”, he rhetorically asked. “No, not at all. I think it’s probably one of the best decisions I made”, he followed. “I have a coach and teammates who trust me. I know I’m going to have a ball. It’s different when you know you’re going to have a ball a lot. It’s just really different, so I don’t have to go out there and shoot my load fast”, Patrick Beverley continued.
So far, he has been averaging 14.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game with Hapoel Tel Aviv, shooting 47.1% from two, 45.0% from beyond the arc, and a perfect 100.0% at the line. “I know I’m going to have a ball, I know I will play a certain type of minutes, I know I’m going to the free throw line four or five times a game. I’m just having fun, I ain’t going to lie”, he stressed out.
Thus far, the red-and-white Israeli team has started the season with a 3-1 record, winning three consecutive games against BC Wolves, Besiktas, and Gran Canaria. Hapoel Tel Aviv convincingly bounced back after opening the 2024-25 campaign with a loss in Badalona.
