Bahcesehir continues to steal the show in Group A of the BKT EuroCup after getting the 80-72 road win over Ulm.
The Turkish side leads the group standings, getting 20 points from Sehmus Hazer and 14 from Tai Odiase. On the other side, Alfonso Plumer scored 18 points for the hosts who trailed for most of the game after the first quarter.
Led by former Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda, and Bayern coach Dejan Radonjic, the Turkish club proves to be a contender.
Gran Canaria is in the second spot of the group, after edging Besiktas in Istanbul (76-74).
The hosts led by four (57-53) entering the fourth quarter, but GranCa got the 62-61 lead and entered the last minute up by three (72-69), making their free throws to keep the distance.
Caleb Homsley scored 17 points for the winners and Jonah Mathews had 19 for Besiktas.
Also, Juventut Badalona with Devon Dotson scoring 26 points got a crucial 78-72 home win over Buducnost that created a three-way tie which includes the two opponents plus Trento between the 7th and the 9th spot of the group standings.
Newcomer Sam Dekker was used from the home side and scored seven points on 2/10 FG.
In Group B, Hapoel Jerusalem got the 86-77 home win over JL Bourg with Gabriel Chachashvili scoring 20.
For the French side, which dropped to the third spot of the standings leaving Hapoel in the second Jordan Usher scored 22.
Cluj Napoca also got the 100-93 win over Lietkabelis which registered a new record, but couldn’t celebrate.
To be exact, Lietkabelis scored 42 points in the fourth quarter, establishing a new record in the competition. The previous best was 41 points, by Unicaja Malaga during the 2019-20 season and JL Bourg en Bresse in the 2022-23.
Zavier Simpson scored 32 points for the winners.
On the last game of the night, Reyer Venice beat Turk Telekom 75-67 with Rodney Mc Gruder scoring 20 and Mfionbu Kabengele having a stellar game with 10 points, 15 rebounds and five assists.
