Round 11 of this year’s BKT EuroCup started with Trefl Sopot hosting Trento in Poland, aiming to find the very first victory of their Regular Season.
However, Paolo Galbiati’s team prevailed 82-70 as they led the encounter from the very beginning.
Jordan Ford was the black-and-white team’s highest scorer at 19 points over 4/6 from beyond the arc. Marcus Weathers’ huge double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds wasn’t enough.
Later in the evening, Valencia survived on the road in Hamburg, beating Veolia Towers 86-78.
Pedro Martinez’s team managed to stay ahead even suffering a 25-12 run in the fourth quarter by the hosts, as they imposed their rhythm from the early beginning.
Josep Puerto led with 17 points, while both Semi Ojeleye and Chris Jones added 12 points each. The South Sudanese Kur Kuath had a double-double of 12 points and 12 boards in the loss.
