A regular with the Dominican Republic at the international level, L. J. Figueroa is expected to bounce back in the BKT EuroCup with Aris Midea.
Starting in all 19 appearances with ratiopharm Ulm through the 2023-24 EuroCup season, the 26-year-old small forward tallied 12.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game. Moving his talents to Leyma Coruna and Spain’s Liga Endesa to start his 2024-25 journey, he put up 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per ACB contest. Barring an unexpected setback, the next challenge will be with the team based in Thessaloniki.
Among other earlier stops, the native of Massachusetts displayed his talents in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2021-22 and South Bay Lakers in 2022-23. Representing the Dominican Republic in international tournaments, Figueroa went from the 2016 U18 FIBA Americas Championship to the 2023 FIBA World Cup and was also capped in the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers.
Elsewhere in the EuroCup field, 33-year-old Djordje Gagic recently reunited with 7bet-Lietkabelis, signing a contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. The experienced center is a veteran of 64 EuroCup appearances, including 20 with the team based in Panevezys in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Preparing for the bottom stretch of the Regular Season in the second-tier club continental competition of Euroleague Basketball, the Greek and Lithuanian clubs are hoping to catch up to the spots leading to the Eighthfinals to avoid elimination.
