Furkan Korkmaz signed with AS Monaco last summer after spending almost seven years in the NBA.
Recently, he parted ways with the French champions and will continue his career back home in Turkey with Bahçeşehir, signing a deal with the Istanbul team until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Dealing with injuries, Korkmaz made only three EuroLeague appearances with Monaco, averaging 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. He played four more games in the French Betclic Élite, averaging 4.3 points and 1.8 boards.
The 27-year-old will now play for Bahçeşehir in the Turkish BSL and BKT EuroCup. The team, coached by Dejan Radonjić, holds a 7-5 record in domestic competition and sits at the top of EuroCup’s Group A with a 10-2 score.
Korkmaz started his professional career with Anadolu Efes, played on loan for Pertevniyal and Bandırma, and was drafted by the 76ers in 2016, eventually moving overseas in 2017.
