Jared Harper scored 31 points to push Hapoel Jerusalem past JL Bourg en Bresse 94 – 67 on the road. Thanks to this win, the Israeli side clinched a postseason spot and is now competing to finish even 2nd in Group B.
Bourg, on the other hand, will fight for its own place in the playoffs in the last round of the regular season.
This was Harper’s second 30+ performance this season after putting up 35 points in an away win at Turk Telekom. The American guard had 4-6 2-pointers, 3-4 triples and 13-14 free throws, hitting the 31-point mark in the end of the third quarter to put Hapoel up 55 – 72. His team continued being aggressive to get a blowout victory.
Khadeen Carrington (15 points) and Justin Smith (14 points) also scored in double figures for Hapoel. Maksim Salash (16 points, seven rebounds) stood out from Bourg.
Thanks to the victory of the Bourg – Hapoel game and its own victory, Turk Telekom also booked its playoff ticket. The Turkish side defeated Reyer Venezia 84 – 81 after a comeback from down 14 in the fourth period behind 17 points by Braian Angola and 16 points plus seven assists by Olivier Hanlan.
Mfiondou Kabengele’s monster double-double of 20 points/18 rebounds wasn’t enough for Venice.
