Led by Devin Robinson and Brynton Lemar, Cedevita Olimpija made a statement win against Besiktas Fibabanka and advanced to the BKT EuroCup quarterfinals.
Zvezdan Mitrovic’s team won in Ljubljana with a final score of 96-86 and is set to meet Bahcesehir College Istanbul in the next round.
Robinson led the way with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Lemar followed with 20 points. Devante Jones added 14 points, DJ Stewart had 13, while talented Joan Beringer and Aleksej Nikolic contributed 12 points each.
Cedevita Olimpija took over in the second half after Besiktas controlled most of the first. It remained an even game until midway through the final period, when the Slovenian team made a crucial 13-3 run to put the game to bed.
Jonah Mathews had 18 points for the Istanbul team, Yigit Arslan followed with 14, while Kyle Allman recorded a double-double of 13 points and 14 assists. Dustin Sleva added 12 points, while Uros Plavsic scored 11 with eight rebounds.
