Galatasaray defeated Pinar Karsiyaka 93 – 65 for the Eurocup eighth-finals, advancing in the next stage… quite easily.
After the game, coach Ergin Ataman, was obviously happy with the way his team performed. He also had many extremely interesting things to say about his team’s victory, Euroleague and the possibility of Galatasaray signing new players:
“You shouldn’t poke the lion. My players played like lions today. Euroleague didn’t invite us to to the new league. It was unfair. But we will win the Eurocup and join the Euroleague. If we would sign a player, it will a big name. The NBA season is going to end soon, so maybe we will sign a player from there. We are not in a hurry.”
