Bringing extensive European experience, Vince Hunter signed with La Laguna Tenerife for the 2026–27 season. The deal was announced on Friday.
The 2.03-meter American center from Detroit joins the Liga Endesa side from Lokomotiv Kuban, where he averaged 11 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.8 assists, and 0.8 blocks per VTB United League game. Hunter strengthens a strong roster under coach Jaka Lakovic that already features Tim Abromaitis, Hector Alderete, TJ Bamba, Aaron Doornekamp, Jaime Fernandez, Bruno Fitipaldo, Kyle Guy, Ethan Happ, Marcelinho Huertas, Arturs Kurucs, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Giorgi Shermadini, and Wesley Van Beck.
The newcomer’s illustrious continental journey includes a Basketball Champions League title and a FIBA Intercontinental Cup with AEK, alongside stints at Panathinaikos, Avtodor, Virtus Bologna, Metropolitans 92, UNICS, and Zenit. His background also features NCAA play with UTEP, G-League experience with the Reno Bighorns, and four NBA games with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In addition to the upcoming ACB Regular Season, the team based in the Canary Islands will also compete in Group B of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season, setting up matchups against newly formed Maxima Roma. The Italian club, coached by Matteo Cotelli, features Mirza Alibegovic, Miro Bilan, Aaron Holiday, Brynton Lemar, Xavier Moon, Matt Ryan, Giovanni Veronesi, and Carl Wheatle, alongside training camp additions Davide Moretti and Marko Milovanovic.
Also competing in Group B are the Skyliners, who re-signed 28-year-old Moses Polking. The Frankfurt outfit has built a deep squad for the upcoming continental campaign, previously securing commitments from Nahiem Alleyne, Ryan Arcidiacono, Will Christmas, Thomas Klepeisz, Judah Mintz, and Race Thompson.
