Another Italian club after Reggio Emilia, announced its decision to join Eurocup. Aquila Basket Trento has agreed with the proposal of Euroleague Basketball to sign a three-year license that will allow the participation of the club to Eurocup.
Considered the “Cinderella” of the competition, Trento has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the current season, making it to the quarterfinals and even winning the first game against Olimpia Milano 83 – 73 .
The president of Trento, Luigi Longhi said the following about the agreement: “We are extremely pleased with the opportunity that has been offered to us, so we want to thank Euroleague Basketball for it. This is not a decision against someone, but an agreement in favor of growth of our team, its investors and the fans. We must make our best possible decisions for the good of our organization. I say this as a president of a club that invests in italian players by giving them confidence and room to grow”.
