No shortage of great performances by players from winning teams in the first Eurocup quarterfinals games, thus the MVP award was split in three, among Mardy Collins, Alen Omic and Deon Thompson. They all gathered 27 points in the Ranking evaluation system.
Collins was the main executioner of Strasbourg’s impressive offensive game versus Nizhny Novgorod scoring at will to finish the game with 24 points (with excellent shooting of 9/12 field goals), as his team won 94 – 85 on the road.
In Poland, Alen Omic towered over his opponents, leading Gran Canaria into a decisive 93 – 82 victory over Zielona Gora, by scoring 20 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and also dishing 4 assists.
With his 20 points and 9 rebounds Deon Thompson of Bayern Munich made a good deal of damage to Galatasaray, which was reflected in the final 99-89 with which the Bavarians won at home.
