It was announced since Monday by Euroleague, but today Greek club AEK BC confirmed that the team has a deal to play in Eurocup.
As it was announced: “The board of AEK Athens B.C. announces that the team will participate in the Eurocup for the next season”.
The announcement is a reaction but the club to the reports about the danger of being expelled from the Greek league due to FIBA’s decision on the matter of the clubs that will compete in Eurocup from next season. According to the main decision, FIBA may even ban national teams from the countries of Eurocup clubs, in this case Greece, from competing in the Eurobasket 2017 qualifying round.
