Olimpija Ljubljana has appointed Slovenian Gasper Okorn as the team’s new head coach. Someone that is definitely no stranger to the club.
Okorn previously managed the helm of the team during the 2006 – 2007, while previously having the role of an assistant coach for many years during the previous decade.
Apart from Olimpija Ljubljana he has also coached Ventspils and serving as an assistant in Lietuvos Rytas.
“I understand what it means to lead Olimpija”, he said. “Olimpija offered a challenge and I accepted with pleasure and pride… I thank the club leadership for the trust. There is a lot of work before us and we’ll come in with positive energy. The composition of the team, the objectives and the rest may take some time to come together, but to start we will gather all the players available to the senior and junior teams and will add a couple of guys on trial.”
