UCAM Murcia introduced itself to Eurocup in a fine manner, defeating Buducnost 86 – 77 in Spain. The first victory for the team ever in a continental competition who wants to do much more than simply advancing from Group C of the regular season.
The two teams had some ups and downs in their performances making for a balanced first half. But after the halftime break, coach Quintana’s players established a lead which they never give up.
Vitor Benite dropped 15 points, Pedro Llompart 13, while Vitor Faverani had an all-around contribution of 11 points, 5 rebounds plus 4 assists. Facu Campazzo finished the match with 7 points, 8 assists 4 rebounds
For Buducnost, Boris Savovic registered a double-double of 22 points plus 11 rebounds. Bojan Subotic had 14 points and Shawn James 12.
