Group A and Las Palmas was the stage for a blowout in the first Week of the new Eurocup season as Gran Canaria crushed Cedevita Zagreb 101 – 76.
The Spanish Supercup champs were absolutely furious right from the start managing to finish the first half with a 20-point difference (54 – 34). While Cedevita reacted a bit in the third quarter, they didn’t have the strength needed to achieve a comeback of a considerable magnitude.
It was a fantastic match for Kyle Kuric who finished with 25 points and 4 rebounds. Pablo Aguilar (13 points) and Darko Planinic (12 points) also scored in double digits from the winners.
Scotty Hopson (23 points), Miro Bilan (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Mirza Begic (12 points) fought the most for Cedevita.
