The latest Gran Canaria addition, 32-year-old Ryan Hollins, is expected to make his Eurocup debut with the team on Wednesday. He spoke on Mundo Deportivo about his preparation and getting to play for the Spanish club.
“I’m still a modest guy from California and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to play here”, he notes. The former NBAer continues by saying that “in NBA there are more strong and athletic players, although in Spain, the players who enter the court are intelligent and have a lot of talent, more energy, intensity and technique”.
The player stated that he is very pleased with the coaching staff as well: “The things I’m required to do are no different than what I did years ago. The staff is really good and we take the right steps together.”
