The transfer of Malik Hairston to Hapoel Jerusalem was officially announced today by the Israeli club. Hairston will join his new team for the remainder of the season.
The experienced swingman joins a team that aspires to win the Eurocup title and re-connects with coach Simone Pianigiani with whom he had worked in Montepaschi Siena.
Hairston had a breakthrough EuroLeague season in 2010-2011 with the Italian team and hopes to get back in form under the guidance of Pianigiani in Hapoel.
The 29-year-old American player spent the previous seasons for AEK Athens averaging 11.8 points in Eurocup.
