Khimki managed to send the game in overtime, but in the end Bayern Munich secured the top spot of the standings with a perfect 6-0 record and will face Unicaja Malaga in the quarterfinals.
Maxi Kleber scored a career-high 21 points for the Germans who dominated the extra time with a partial 24-2 score in five minutes. Nihad Djedovic added 17 points for the hosts, while Alexey Shved tried almost alone to turn the game around with 31 points.
The star of Khimki made two free throws tied the score with 30 seconds left for the end of the fourth quarter. Bayern lost the chance to win it in the remaining time, but the overtime belonged exclusively to the players of coach Djordjevic.
Khimki also qualified with a 4-2 record and will face Valencia, the top team of Group H.
