With Mardy Collins scoring 20 points and Andrey Zubkov adding 16 plus 5 rebounds, Lokomotiv Kuban finished the EuroCup Top 16 in style by beating already eliminated Murcia 85 – 77 in Spain.
The hosts entered the match aggressively, gaining a 35 – 25 lead at the mid of the second quarter but all went downhill from there. Lokobasket quickly came back and even closed the first half ahead 38 – 40.
Murcia momentarily gained the lead once more in the mid of the third period (54-53) but Loko once went ahead, this time sitting at the driver’s seat for good.
Billy Baron finished the match with 21 points, Nemanja Radovic had 17 plus 6 rebounds and Jose Antelo 13 for Murcia.
