Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek announced next year’s budget for the basketball section and also confirmed that there will be Turkish teams in Eurocup with Galatasaray being one of them.
As he said: “This season we managed to put together 10 million euros because we were competing in Euroleague. Next season we will play in the Eurocup. Our budget will be around 4-5 millions. We had won the Eurocup with a roster that had a similar budget. We don’t have the luxury to spend 25-30 millions like our opponents simply because our finance wouldn’t allow that”
Darussafaka is also expected to be part of Eurocup next season, so that means that the two Turkish teams which played in EuroLeague this season will not be part of the Basketball Champions League, after a season with no Turkish clubs in Eurocup.
