Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius added fire power to its roster by inking sharp shooter Ben Madgen to a two-year deal on Saturday. Rytas keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2019-20 season. Madgen (1.93 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Lietkabelis Panevezys, where he averaged 13.7 points on 48.4% three-point shooting (31-of-64) and 3.4 rebounds in 14 7DAYS EuroCup last season, his first in the competition.

He helped Lietkabelis reach the EuroCup Top 16 and both the Lithuanian Cup and the Lithuanian League finals. Madgen started his professional career with Sydney Kings of Australia, where he played for five seasons. He also played for VOO Wolves Verviers-Pepinsters, leading the 2015-16 Belgian League in scoring (19.6 ppg.). Madgen is also a member of the Australian national team.
