Gran Canaria signed point guard Luke Nelson to a two-year contract, the club officially announced today (8/8).
Nelson, 22, will begin his professional career with the Spanish team that will compete in EuroCup next season apart from domestic Liga Endesa. He spent the four previous years playing college basketball with the UC Irvine Anteaters.
He averaged 17.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in his senior year but went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft. He then joined the LA Clippers for the Summer League, notching 5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
