Morabanc Andorra forward Beqa Burjanadze is set to be sidelined for five months due to a knee injury, the club announced Thursday.

Burjanadze had already missed EuroBasket 2017 while following a conservative treatment plan to avoid surgery in his right knee. His knee problems emerged again in preseason, so Burjanadze is now set to undergo surgery in Vitoria, Spain. As such, Burjanadze will miss the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season and would need Andorra to go deep in the competition in order to play in it. Burjanadze averaged 10.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 29 Spanish League games last season, helping Andorra reach the playoffs.
