Zenit announced its one-year deal with the 26-year old player, who arrives from CSKA Moscow, where he spent the previous two seasons.
His return with the team will be against Parma, on October 8.
A native of the Moscow region, Lazarev spent the 2014-15 season in Zenit, before joining CSKA, where he was able to win the EuroLeague and VTB trophy during the 2015-16 season.
