Group C’s Day 2 tipped-off tonight and concluded with Limoges’ win on the road.
In the first game of the day, Lokomotiv Kuban easily defeated Alba Berlin 75-59 and improved their record to 2-0 while Alba fell to 1-1. Chris Babb was really effective for the home team as he led his team to victory ending up with 20 points.
Lietuvos Rytas got an important 91-80 on the road win against Partizan. Even though the first half ended 43-39 in favor of Partizan, in the second half Loukas Mavrokefalidis (26 points) and Rokas Giedtraitis (28 points) led Lietuvos Rytas back in the game as they made some tough shots down the stretch.
In the final two minutes of the game, they managed to increase their lead to double digits (76-86) and finally win the contest.
Finally, in the third game of the day, Limoges got a difficult 98-91 victory on the road against Bilbao. Until the late third quarter both teams were challenging one another, but in the 29th minute, Limoges built a crucial 6-point lead (70-76) that was a boost for the fourth quarter.
A team effort from Jaiteh (17 points), Conklin (14 points) and Hayes (14 points) and tight defense down the stretch to go along with some clutch free-throws in the two final minutes gave Limoges their first win of the new Eurocup season.
