Gran Canaria announced that they have opened disciplinary proceedings against American Shaq McKissic and have removed him from the team after a controversial tweet by the player about head coach Luis Casimiro.
Earlier today, McKissic tweeted “Listen. Help!!!” and then, “My game is at a risk. I would rather sit at home for the rest of my life than play for this coach at Gran Canaria.”
McKissic’s tweets came following the Spanish League blowout defeat of Gran Canaria to Real Madrid, where he played 19:47 minutes and finished with two points (1/3 f.g.) and five assists.
The 27-year-old player averages 7.2 points 1.7 rebounds and 1 assists in 14:26 minutes per game in EuroCup this season. ‘
My game is at risk. I would rather sit at home for the rest of my life then play for this coach at Gran Canaria.
