Day 7 of the 7Days Eurocup competition was concluded tonight with some exciting matchups.
Earlier today, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius got an easy 93-75 victory at home against Partizan Belgrade and improved its record to 4-3 while the visitors slipped to 1-6, remaining last in the standings. Since the first 20 minutes of the game, Lietuvos established a double-digit lead (47-36) which helped the team in the second half. Rytas’ team kept this lead until the end. Jimmy Baron led the way with 22 points.
Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar got an important 84-89 win on the road against Alba Berlin, making it, its seventh win of the season to improve its record to 7-0 and remain undefeated. Alba slipped to 5-2. The game was competitive, as both teams were showcasing their offense. The visitors were up 42-47 in the first 20 minutes.
In the second half, the visitors showed character and how much they wanted this win as the lead increased to double-digits (54-64), but in the last 10 minutes of the game, Alba challenged and cut the lead to just two points. With Antipov leading the way, the visitors responded and went up ahead by seven points (66-73) (34:00). Finally, in the last three minutes of the contest, Berlin’s team tried to come back once again (82-83) but fell short, with Loko finishing the business in Germany. Ryan Broekhoff led the way with his 20 points.
In France, Limoges CSP defeated 86-74 Retabet Bilbao Basket. In the first quarter, both teams were challenging its other with the home team, managing to have a one-point lead (22-20). In the second period, however, the French side increased this lead to 15 points (40-25) and had control of the game. The team did not look back since the 18th minute of the contest. Coach Milling’s team had four players in double-digits and 25 total assists.
