The 79-72 road win of Unics over Fiat Turin PalaRuffini on Tuesday evening decided the second place with Darussafaka having also secured the top spot.
Still, with Jaka Blazic missing the last shot at the buzzer, Darussafaka managed to survive on the road against Morabanc Andorra and get the 69-68 win. JaJuan Johnson led the charge with 19 points for the team of coach David Blatt with 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Blazic scored 18 for Andorra which was already eliminated.
On the contrary, Cedevita Zagreb (photo) needed the win in order to get the third place in the group standings and beat Levallois Metropolitans 94-79. Will Cherry with 19 points and Dzanan Musa with 17 led a balanced effort, Boris Diaw didn’t play for the guests and Klemen Prepelic did his best with 24 points.
