The final score was 83-77 as the guest finished the overtime with 9-4 run during the last two and a half minutes. Quino Colom with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists had an amazing game, while Jamar Smith with 26 points was the top scorer of the Russian team and Melvin Ejim had a monster double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Both Charles Kahudi of ASVEL and Colom missed the chance to win the game at the end of regulation, as both their three-point shots were off target. The score remained tied at 69 for the last 31 seconds of the fourth quarter after a made shot by Smith.
John Robinson had 17 points for the hosts who lost the chance to secure their spot in the playoffs. With Limoges getting the 80-71 win over Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia yesterday, the Italians also needed a win of ASVEL in order to qualify. Now ASVEL will fave Reggio Emilia in Italy and the winner will secure qualification, no matter what will happen in the game between Unics and Limoges.
